I love art. I love design. I enjoy creativity in general.

I also love statistics. Not to a Rain Man level, but I am fond of a percentage here and there.

I approached Adelaide Magazine with the concept for this piece; comparing my home city of Adelaide to similarly sized cities in Japan, North America and Europe. I also compared city living in Adelaide living in greater Adelaide. City planning and urban design are enormous topics, so I focused on ostensibly simple but significant differences; the cost of a bus ticket, the availability of public rail transport, the cost of a coffee, access to green space.

I did the research myself, conducted interviews, compiled the data and then turned that data into an engaging, meaningful, informative illustration.
